Buffalo Wild Wings in Chandler - YUM

After the movies last night, my family and friends went to Buffalo Wild Wings at the Chandler Fashion Square Mall. They are located at the same many other restaurants have failed but based on our experience this trend hopefully will end.

The place had sports programs on TV's all over the place which my boys loved and a very loud sports crowd. The friendly wait staff set us up in two booths - one for adults and one for kids and were very friendly.

I had a very nice wheat beer on tap and a dozen wings. They have a wide variety of sauces and I split my order between spicey garlic and cajun BBQ. They were both delicious and balancing the two was a good idea. My wife had the buffalo chicken wrap which is fast becoming a favorite of hers. My two boys had chicken tenders which were a far cry from the MCD crap chicken nuggets.

Barro's Pizza in Tempe - UGGGH

My son's had a school fundraiser at Barro's Pizza on Warner and Rural in Tempe. After waiting while everyone on the counter was through talking I placed my order with a counterperson who had no idea what she was doing and had to keep going back to the manager for directions. The whole ordering process took nearly 15 minutes.

20 minutes later two of our three orders came out and when I asked about the third I was told, "it's on the way". Another 10 minutes passed without the last order so I went out to the counter and asked where it was. The counterperson rolled her eyes and said about 7 minutes at which time I commented that I would prefer to not eat in shifts.

5 minutes later my son's uncooked pizza sticks came out. I thought about complaining and asking for a refund (we used a credit from our last bad Barro's experience) but the noise and all the uncleaned dirty tables were just too much.

Next time I will mail the school a check and skip going to Barro's.

Floridino's Calzone - Yum!

Had a great spagetti and meatball calzone at Floridino's on Alma School in Chandler. Great east coast calzone. I highly recommend
